la cuz de huanacaxtle

Nautical Capital of the Riviera Nayarit

A fishing village for generations, this town has been modernized thanks to the construction of the Marina Riviera Nayarit -the largest and most modern in the corridor-, which has generated an environment in which the typical life of a Mexican town coexists harmoniously with the sophistication of a project like the Marina. Thus, on your visit to La Cruz, as its inhabitants name it, you will have the opportunity to witness lively postcards such as the arrival of fishermen at the pier, with their boats loaded with a wide variety of fish.

The Marina is equipped with all the necessary services for a comfortable stay: bathrooms and showers, security, electricity and fuel. This modern project also has a yacht club, business center, sky bar, restaurant, seafood market, dock and one of the most equipped shipyards in the country that, among other things, houses the largest crane in the Pacific. And with the spirit of promoting the growth of the Riviera Nayarit, a project has been developed as part of the Marina that houses commercial spaces for the most recognized brands in the market, condominiums and restaurants.

All this marine and fishing charm could not be complete without the golden beach of La Cruz, which stretches for five kilometers divided into five sections: El Tizate, Cruz de Huanacaxtle, La Manzanilla, Piedra Blanca and Arena Blanca. Here you will find, in addition to the pleasures of the beach, various restaurants where you can taste dishes prepared with fresh fish of the day, creations that are inserted in a culinary tradition of more than fifty years.

Enjoy activities such as snorkeling, diving and surfing (in winter the waves reach sufficient height to practice this sport), and of course fishing, one of the main activities of La Cruz thanks to the abundance of species such as tuna, marlin and mahi-mahi.

Imagine fishing tournaments in the light of the full moon, colorful parties with the sea as another guest, or anchoring your yacht in a town that still smells of tradition. All this and more awaits you in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, in the “hearing tree” wanting to hear your voice.

Stepping on Punta de Mita and facing the immense ocean on white sands of this peninsula, it will give you a feeling of complete tranquility. You will feel that you are far from the world, like on a desert island, in a refuge. Here, where the Pacific opens up in front of visitors, who never tire of observing the endless turquoise blue of the sea. In a land that out of artisans, merchants and fishermen has developed one of the most sophisticated and select destinations in the Riviera Nayarit.

Imagine contemplating the open sea while reviewing the letters of a good book, walking through corridors that seem to be surrounded by Babylonian gardens, or delighting your palate while observing, in a privileged view, how the sky merges with the sea. And in this exclusive paradise, golf could not be missed, another of Punta de Mita’s treasures.

bucerias

Typical Mexican Town

When you arrive in Bucerías, the first thing that will catch you is its charm of a typical Mexican town: its cobbled streets, its brightly painted facades with huge wooden doors and the tranquility of its environment.

Bucerías is one of the most visited destinations in the Riviera Nayarit, both by national and foreign tourists, who seek to have fun and relax in this place of fine sand, colorful hotels and calm waves where children have fun floating by the sea in curious inflatables, young people practicing sailing, kayaking or jetsky, and tourists of all ages enjoying the wonders of the beach while resting in a palapa.

At the corners of these alleys there are restaurants and bars with a relaxed atmosphere where you can relax while sipping a lemonade or trying a delicious ceviche tostada or a shrimp cocktail.

In the Main Square you will appreciate the daily life of its inhabitants as you enter its picturesque church and walk a few meters to find one of the safest beaches in the area, which was recently certified among the cleanest of the Mexican coasts by the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT).

All this makes Bucerías such an attractive destination that many of its visitors, especially foreigners, decide to establish their second residence in this charming town. Smells, flavors and sounds that will leave you pleasantly satisfied, with the feeling of living the tradition of a typical town on the seashore.

puerto vallarta

you live it more than once

Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful place that surprises and inspires every day: a beautiful blue sky that frames spectacular moons as well as incredible orange suns. A warm and generous sea that relaxes and imposes, complemented with sunsets that deserve a break in our day and in our breath.

A city with sea, sun and beach recognized worldwide for its beautiful historic center, a beautiful parish and a boardwalk full of activities. Its geographical location is privileged, since it is framed by one of the most beautiful bays in the world (Bahía de Banderas) and the mountains of the Sierra Madre Occidental.

The historic center of Puerto Vallarta has charming cobbled streets, urban art on its walls, sculptures, murals, architecture that retains its essence from its beginnings, colorful parks, art galleries and museums, restaurants, bars, cafes and iconic places like the Parroquia of Our Lady of Guadalupe. For this and more it is a Cultural Heritage of the State of Jalisco.

In the heart of Puerto Vallarta, you will find a place that you cannot miss. The Malecón in Puerto Vallarta is a walkway with a length of around 800 meters, where a magical atmosphere is created, full of culture, art, entertainment and history.

Starting with the historic Hotel Rosita, being the oldest hotel in the Port and a relic of the city, it was inaugurated in 1948, its typical architecture, location and history make it an unmissable place to visit. This hotel hosted on several occasions the actress Elizabeth Taylor and the actor Richard Burton, in the filming of the movie “The Night of the Iguana”, who are said to have fallen in love of the destination.

The Malecón is a pleasant and entertaining place due to the many artistic expressions that can be observed, such as the Voladores de Papantla show, the sculptures, interesting art galleries and the iconic Naval Museum that tells us about Mexico’s close relationship with the sea, from the time of the Conquest to present times.

We recommend you eat a snack from the sea or a la carte in one of the restaurants that are nearby or visit a nightclub or dive to enjoy the night in style.

Puerto Vallarta offers a wide variety of water activities to spend a spectacular day full of emotions and refreshing moments, from a boat ride, to flyboarding, windsurfing, surfing, parasailing, diving, jet skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, and many beaches to make all this possible.

Also here you can practice more professional sports such as diving, this exciting activity that will take you to discover the richness of the marine flora and fauna that inhabit these seas, a whole spectacle of nature, made up of different species of fish, we recommend the encounters with dolphins to interact with them and swim with them, as well as tours to meet the imposing humpback whales that arrive in mid-December until the end of March.

Enjoy this sanctuary of the Pacific Ocean and surprise yourself living unforgettable moments, in a privileged place with a splendid climate and a great diversity of marine life.

boca de tomatlan

quaint little town

Boca de Tomatlán is a small and picturesque traditional fishing village, the locals know it as “Boca”. A small town with houses on both sides of the Horcones River that flows from the Sierra Madre mountains through the lush semi-tropical jungles of Jalisco, Mexico.

It is also the preferred port of departure for pangas (water taxis) that go to the southern part of Banderas Bay and isolated beaches such as Playa Las Animas, Playa Colomitos, Playa Quimixto, Playa Majahuitas, Yelapa and others further afield.

There is a hiking trail that starts from Boca to Quimixto along a path through the jungle that for the most part borders the sea (only suitable hiking shoes!).

Boca is an authentic Mexican fishing village, 17 km south of Puerto Vallarta, crossing the jungle and beautiful landscapes of the southern area where the Horcones River flows into a beautiful bay surrounded by bougainvilleas, hibiscus, bananas, papayas, with hills covered with palm trees. Enjoy its soft sand beach, gentle waves, excellent food and friendly people.
